After having created the movie production company WY Productions in 2002 (Hell, 24 Mesures, Des vents contraires), Yannick Bolloré joined the Bolloré Group in 2006 as CEO of the French DTT television Direct 8.
Since September 2009, he has been CEO of Bolloré Média, which includes the TV channels Direct 8 and Direct Star, the free daily newspaper Direct Matin, the Bolloré Intermedia platform and the polling institute, CSA. He also contributed to the launch of Direct Cinéma, a cinema co-production subsidiary of Bolloré Media (2010).
The TV business has had a huge success and became the first independant Tv Business of the country. After it was sold to Vivendi for nearly half a Billion USD in 2012, Yannick Bolloré was appointed Directeur General Délégué of Havas in addition of his role as Vice-Président. Havas is the fifth worldwide major communication Group.
Since 2009, he is Board member of the Bolloré Group, founded in 1822 by his ancestors, and since 2010, Board member of Havas.
Yannick Bolloré has been selected by the World Economic Forum as a Young global leader in 2006
He received the “B’nai B’rith” and the gold “Menoras price” 2010 for « Les Enfants d’Abraham » (a talk show with representatives of different religions).
He was appointed Chevalier into the Order of Arts and Letters in 2012.
